Energy management is a crucial when producing Non Ferrous Metals
The management of energy used to create Non Ferrous Metals is at the top of the agenda for most of our members. The Non Ferrous Alliance is able to assist members with identification and implementation of sustainable energy systems and to ensure that the sector remains competitive and aligned with global best practice in energy management.
Non Ferrous Metal industries, such as Aluminium, have reduced electricity consumption by more than one-third since the 1950s, and by continuing in this direction, we are assisting members to further reduce energy consumption and environmental footprint.
The Non Ferrous Alliance supports the Climate Change Agreement. We are able to assist members to reduce its Energy use and to develop future proof energy strategies.
The EU proposes the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism. The Non Ferrous Alliance Energy and Climate Change Committee are lobbying on behalf the Non Ferrous sector to ensure that this new tax retains a Level Playing Field for our members.
